Y25 Motorcycle
The project originated from a collaboration between Trepunti Design Studio and Hyle Project as a complete redesign of a production sport motorcycle. Starting from an existing platform, the work focused on the full redefinition of the external surfaces through a process integrating design, engineering, and additive manufacturing.
The entire vehicle was digitized through 3D scanning of the original motorcycle, building a parametric base on which to develop the new bodywork and ensure fitting precision and geometric consistency with the existing mechanical constraints. The goal was to completely redefine the vehicle's visual identity without it remaining a purely formal exercise: every surface choice had to translate into a real, manufacturable, and installable component.
Hyle Project

The design language moves toward a faceted, sharp-edged aesthetic; angular volumes and surface breaks build an immediately recognizable silhouette.
The color contrast between the light panels of the front fairing and the dark surfaces of the side panels, tail section, and rider interaction points — seat, dashboard, fuel tank opening — defines a precise visual hierarchy that separates the bodywork from the riding zone. The circular front headlight and the Y-shaped light signature at the rear complete and reinforce this identity along the vehicle's entire silhouette.
The process was developed in a fully integrated way, from surface design through to production and final assembly. The bodywork was specifically engineered for 3D printing, leveraging the collaboration with Hyle Project to achieve structurally functional, manufacturable components without traditional molds. The lighting system was redesigned from scratch, with new headlight units designed, integrated, and wired within the vehicle's new layout. Every component was developed considering not only form but also thermal, mechanical, and installation constraints, through to the assembly and road-testing of the working prototype.
